Manual physical therapy includes techniques that require skilled hand movements and skilled passive movements of joints and soft tissues that are intended to improve tissue extensibility; increase range of motion; induce relaxation; mobilize or manipulate soft tissue and joints; myofascial release, modulate pain; and reduce soft tissue swelling, inflammation, or restriction.
These techniques are selected, implemented and prescribed when examination findings indicate the use to decrease edema, pain, spasm; enhance health, wellness, and fitness. These techniques also include and followed by techniques that promote neuromuscular control of the areas treated. This is to teach the body to use the new movement gained to decrease pain and enhance or maintain physical performance.
Our trained doctors use developed manual techniques specific for each joint and body region to create better movement and pain relief. Myofascial release techniques, used by our Doctors, has been found in studies, to allow the body to interact between the mechanical, neuromuscular, and motor control systems more efficiently.
